Accessibility statement

Privacy policy

Updated November 1, 2026.

This policy explains what data CV Builder handles, why, and your rights, under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018, LGPD) and equivalent laws where you live.

Your resume and photo

Everything you type in the editor, and the photo you pick, stays only in your browser. None of it is sent, copied or stored by us. The PDF comes from your browser's own print feature, also without any upload.

What we keep in your browser

Your browser's local storage holds your resume (key cv-builder:cv), so you can pick up where you left off, and your cookie choice (key cv-builder-consent). To erase them, use "Start over" in the editor or clear this site's data in your browser.

Ads and cookies

The site shows Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers to serve ads, cap how often you see them and measure results. Personalized ads are only requested if you click "Accept" on the cookie notice. If you choose "Necessary only", we ask Google for non-personalized ads, which may still use cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention. Ads never receive the content of your resume.

You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookies" link in the footer, and manage Google's personalization at adssettings.google.com. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Usage statistics

We count visits and tool actions ourselves, on our own servers. We record the page, country, device type, browser family, language, the origin that referred you here (the site only, not the full address) and which tool actions were used (for example choosing a template, importing data and downloading as PDF, PNG or Word), with no file names or content.

We use no cookie and no persistent identifier. Your IP address is never stored: we use a hash that rotates every day and cannot be reversed. None of this is sent to third parties. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, you are not counted.

Fonts

The site's fonts come from Google Fonts. Downloading them tells Google your IP address, as with any request to a server. No cookie is involved.

Accessibility features

Your choices in the "Accessibility" panel (text size, contrast, font and the rest) stay in your browser only (key tools-a11y) and apply to every app on tools.codes.

Dictation uses your browser's own speech recognition and only starts when you click "Dictate". In Chrome and Edge the audio is sent to Google's or Microsoft's servers to become text; it never goes through ours. Read aloud uses your browser's or system's voices.

VLibras (Brazilian Sign Language) is a Brazilian federal government service, offered on the Portuguese pages only. It loads only if you turn it on in the accessibility panel; your browser then downloads the translator from gov.br and sends it the text you ask it to translate.

Legal basis

Personalized ads: consent. Non-personalized ads, security and aggregate analytics: legitimate interest in keeping the site free and running.

Your rights

You can ask for confirmation, access, correction, deletion and information on sharing of your data, and withdraw consent. Since we keep no personal data about you on a server, requests about ad cookies should also go to Google through the links above.
