Privacy policy

This policy explains what data Compressor handles, why, and what your rights are under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018, LGPD).

Your images

The images you open and their compressed versions are processed only in your browser. They are not uploaded, copied or stored by us. When you close the page, everything is cleared from memory. EXIF metadata, such as location, is removed from the generated images.

Ads and cookies

The site shows Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers to show ads, cap repetition and measure results. Personalized ads (based on your visits to this and other sites) are only requested if you click "Accept" on the cookie notice. If you choose "Necessary only", we ask Google for non-personalized ads, which may still use cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookies" link in the footer, and manage Google's personalization at adssettings.google.com. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

What we store in your browser

Your cookie choice, in the browser's local storage (key image-compressor-consent), so we don't ask again, and your accessibility preferences if you change any (see below).

Statistics

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.

Fonts

The site's fonts come from Google Fonts. When downloading them, your browser tells Google your IP address, as with any request to a server. No cookie is involved.

Accessibility features

The "Accessibility" button preferences (text size, contrast, font and the rest) stay only in your browser (key tools-a11y) and apply to every tools.codes app.

VLibras, the Brazilian Sign Language translator, is a Brazilian government service (gov.br/vlibras) offered on the Portuguese pages. It's only loaded if you turn it on in the accessibility panel; then your browser downloads the translator from gov.br and sends it the text you ask to translate.

Legal basis

Personalized ads: consent (art. 7, I). Non-personalized ads, security and aggregate statistics: legitimate interest in keeping the site free and working (art. 7, IX).

Your rights

You can request confirmation, access, correction, deletion and information about sharing of your data, and withdraw consent. Since we keep no personal data of yours on a server, requests about ad cookies should also be made to Google through the links above.
