Why compress here
Compression runs in your own browser, using your device's video encoders. The file is never uploaded to any server: no queue, no waiting for an upload, and nobody but you sees the video.
Pick a preset or a max size in MB, like WhatsApp's 16 MB or Discord's 10 MB, and optionally drop the resolution to 1080p, 720p or 480p. When your browser allows it, the output is MP4 (H.264 with AAC), which plays almost anywhere.
If the video is already well compressed and there's nothing to gain, the tool tells you and you keep the original.
