Accessibility statement
Updated November 1, 2026.
We want anyone to be able to pull frames from a video with Snapframe, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard or magnification. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we have done
- Everything works with the keyboard, focus is always visible and a "Skip to content" link sits at the top.
- The video drop area is also a button: Tab and Enter let you pick the file without dragging.
- In the viewer, the arrow keys move between frames and the position ("3 of 12") is announced.
- Extraction progress and messages such as "12 frames ready" are announced to screen readers.
- Colors have at least 4.5:1 contrast, in both the light and dark themes.
- The site follows your system's request to reduce motion.
Accessibility panel
The "Accessibility" button at the top of every page opens a panel where you can:
- enlarge text to 115, 130 or 150%;
- turn on high contrast (7:1);
- switch to a font designed for reading, which helps with dyslexia and low vision;
- underline all links, enlarge the cursor and pause animations;
- use a reading guide that follows the mouse.
Your choices are saved on this device only and apply to every app on tools.codes. The Portuguese pages also offer VLibras, a Brazilian Sign Language translator.
Known limitations
- Extracted frames are pictures from your video and have no text description. Snapframe never sees what is in the video, so it cannot describe it.
- The video formats that work are the ones your browser can play. If a video does not open, the message says so in writing.
- On narrow screens the frame grid shows two columns and the frames are small. Use the viewer to see each one full screen.
